Hydrotracer
HydroTracer – Accurate Measurement of Trace Moisture in Solids
The HydroTracer is a high-precision instrument for determining very low water content in solid materials. Thanks to advanced measurement technology and large sample volumes, even the smallest moisture levels can be detected – with a resolution of just a few ppm.
Versatile Applications
✔ Suitable for powders, granules, and films
✔ Especially effective for residual moisture analysis in plastic granulates
✔ Ideal for ensuring material quality prior to processing
Chemical Measurement of Water Content
Unlike methods based on weight loss, the HydroTracer determines the absolute water content chemically, ensuring maximum precision without the need for calibration.
Your Benefits with the HydroTracer
✔ No calibration required – ready to use immediately
✔ Easy operation – perfect for both production and laboratory use
✔ Compact and portable – ideal for incoming goods inspection
✔ Durable and robust – designed for long-term industrial use
✔ Low operating costs – only a few cents per measurement
How the Measurement Works
✔ Sample Preparation: The sample is weighed and placed into the integrated reaction dish
✔ Heating: The material is heated, releasing the moisture
✔ Reaction: The released water reacts with calcium hydride, forming hydrogen gas
✔ Measurement: The hydrogen concentration is measured → exact water content is calculated
🔍 Advantage: Other volatile substances do not affect the result – ensuring highly accurate moisture readings
The Reagent: Calcium Hydride
✔ Stable powder with virtually unlimited shelf life
✔ Low cost per test
✔ Reaction residue is safe and easy to dispose of
Simple PC-Based Operation
✔ Intuitive software interface
✔ Clear step-by-step instructions
✔ Only about 2 minutes of hands-on time per test
With the HydroTracer, you benefit from a proven, efficient, and highly accurate method of moisture measurement – ideal for quality control and production monitoring.
